We've had some new additions to our family lately.
Meet The Squash Family: Lily Pumpkin and her four wee ones; Lily's sister, Queen Butternut (note the crown); The Queen's baby, Little Lemon; Of course we cannot forget Spotty, the Dalmatian dog; and Kitty, the black kitty.
Note that Kitty is made from my four-cup glass measure. It was on the counter (along with two other glass measuring cups--different sizes) and Owen decided the handle looks like a cat's tail. She started talking about how I've got three of these and I really don't use this one and...
She had just discovered the joys of permanent marker (on the squash, at least).
And...another addition, after the ladybug from last week flew away home: Woollie the Woollybear.
Paul and Owen read about Woollybears in Owen's nature book and Paul told Owen he would find one for her. Of course, after he said that, they all suddenly disappeared. Today, mowing the grass, he finally found one. She, of course, is thrilled.
We're hoping we can keep him alive until he transforms into an Isabella Tiger Moth, and then we will release him. That's Owen's plan, at least.
