Too tired, busy, buried, overwhelmed to write much so I'll share some photos this week. Enjoy.
Joe Pye Weed seems to be the main wildflower growing in abundance in these parts lately. It's okay, the Monarchs like them.
Not sure what this plant is, now gone to seed, but it reminded me of the coming Fall. I love Fall. Especially Fall in the mountains. Bring it on.
Not the best shot, through my kitchen window screen, but if you look closely you'll see three hummingbirds at the feeder. I've really enjoyed watching these ladies (there is only on male in the bunch that I can ever see) this latter part of summer. I've counted as many as eight birds hovering about, fighting each other. Sometimes, when I'm sitting on the porch they'll buzz me, the hum of their wings unmistakable by my ears. We call them, affectionately, "the bitches."
More of my view. It changes so much from day to day that I'm going to end up with about a million photos of this view before we ever move out of this house.
Of course, with a view like this, why would we ever leave?
