Owen planted pumpkins yesterday in Grandpa's garden.
Grandpa had set aside a spot next to his herb garden, a place where the pumpkin vines can trail down and away from the rest of the garden. He dug the row out for her, then gave her the seeds.
Which she then planted and covered herself.
We hope to have a big mess of carving pumpkins in the fall for her efforts.
After the pumpkins were taken care of, there was other garden business to attend. Pulling up onions, for example.
And, of course, there is the favorite garden feature...the swing.
Eventually, though, the paparazzi was just too intrusive. She held her hand up and said, "No more photos." So I put the camera down and simply enjoyed the evening with her.
Just an ordinary, lovely summer day.
