My mountain girl

Trying our best to turn Owen into a mountain girl, we took her Monday to one of the rivers where I used to play as a kid.

Not much has changed of the place.

She definitely has her mountain girl thing going. Moments after arriving at my Dad's last week, he whisked her away for a walk while I unloaded the car and organized some stuff. By the time I found them, her shoes were on the rock and she was sitting in the middle of the creek throwing mud and squealing with delight.

I just realized that the above photos are proof that we have accomplished #10 on this list--and a year early to boot! We're getting there.

My first thought was Davison River, Sycamore Flats in Pisgah, but since I know Bob does not live near there it must be somewhere else. Please tell Bob and Paul I said hello. And your mom, too, of course!

Actually, Mike, the photo is a little disengenuous in relation to the text because these were taken at Mills River. Mom & I took her there while I was visiting Hendersonville Sunday & Monday.

Hope all is well with you and Michael.
